I worked with Chris Lewis prior to him becoming an RBM with the company, between 2014-2016. Chris was a General Manager within my district, running The Queen and Castle pub in Kenilworth.

This site is a stunning country pub and is popular with local guests and tourists, with annual sales of £1.8m and a 60/40 Food split.

 

Chris is a superb Manager, always driven to go the extra mile and deliver impressive results across the P&L and scorecard.

A natural leader in any business, he took on a lead GM role in the district, becoming a huge support to me and his colleagues. This effort contributed to us winning Operations Team of the Year in 2015, and runner up the following year!

 

Chris worked hard on his personal development, successfully completing his Area Business Manager development course, before moving onto his next role.

Chris Lewis became my Retail Business Manager in the summer of 2016 and over the next 3 years the Thatched House grew its sales and managerial profit year on year culminating in the year 2019 where sales increased by 14.4% and the managerial profit by 22.8%. I believe this would not have been possible without the support and guidance provided by Chris as my line manager.

 

During this time he provided encouragement, personal experience of running a similar operation and instilled the confidence in me to challenge myself professionally and personally.

I have been employed as a General Manager with MAB for 31 years. From the years 2017 until 2019 just over Two years I worked with Mr Chris Lewis. 

 

Chris was my immediate line manger working as an RBM for Mitchells and butlers with my pub being one of 17 that sat in the district Chris was the area manager for.
